The poetic Skinny

I saw a call for poems.  I read the requirements.  At first, it seemed complicated.  Truth Thomas called it a skinny poem, he invented the style.  Eleven lines, as brief as possible,  with line one and line eleven containing the same words.  They do not have to be in the same order which gives a lot of creative latitude.

I wrote down the structure, played with it for a while.  Then I wrote three that I thought were good,  named them, sent them to the online magazine.   Within hours, they got back to me.  One was accepted!  I was thrilled.  I still am!
