The end of the year was not easy for me. Lots of loss, lots of weirdness.
For instance, I had yellow snapdragons blooming in my back yard on Christmas Eve, which made me smile but the Magnolia tree down the block got fooled into budding and the buds are now frozen on the branches.
Us jazz fans lost both Natalie Cole and SmoothJazzChicago.net on New Year’s Eve, which doesn’t bode well for the coming year. But I will put on a brave face ans see what happens next.
