What I learned from Joan Rivers

I learned that it feels good to laugh.

I learned that girls can tell jokes.

I learned that if you tell the joke first, they can’t hurt you with the insult.  I have had mental health professionals tell me that I am wrong by doing that, but I have gotten myself out of more scrapes and scratches to my ego than they will ever know.

I learned that you can be smart and funny at the same time.  And anyone who doesn’t understand it or like it can go jump in the nearest lake.

I hope she is laughing her ass off at the rest of us, trapped down here.
