I went to a mystery writers seminar today. What was interesting was most of the participants were women. I guess we feel like we need help first and publish later. The other interesting thing about it was most of the older women tended to gather in small groups talking to one another during each break. The younger ones tended to sit with their smart phones or pads and pass the time. So I am thinking that in the future, there will be a change in writing styles. Either dialogue will not be used because everything will be the internal conversations inside the characters brains or dialogue will be so very good because it will all be overheard in the past and brought to the future.
