When you write, it is a level of thought.  You get it out of your brain onto the page.  Call it stage one.  Then you edit it because your brain does funny things with your story, it can scramble it or leave parts of it out or forget to explain some of the important portions.   Once that is done, you are at the level where you share the story with others.  Hopefully this is a happy level because your story is good and it touches people.  Then you have the next level, the selling level,  This is the level where you change your brain and try to be a business person.  You look for places that wants stories like yours, paid or unpaid.  You begin the process of submitting.

I am at the submission level.  If you know me, you know that I am not a fan of this level.

But this morning, I have submitted a short story.  A ghost story.

My hope is to do this at least once a week for the rest of the year.

Cross your fingers for me.  Time to wait and see if I get accepted.
