What happened to all the blog posts? All my energy has been directed into my latest book, Chicago Chronicles – K-Town Coup. The first in a series of West Side stories from the 1920’s through the 1960’s, of unsung heroes and heroines of color. The K-Town Coup is a David and Goliath story of two women who overcome restrictive covenants, financial red lining and systemic racism to integrate the all white alcove of K-Town near Western Electric when City Hall decides that their city block is to be demolished to build a school. With Urban Renewal being used as a weapon, they dodged the bullet and avoid being herded into public housing.
Now, I am working on getting it published. Updates as they happen.
